$100,000 Settlement For Motor Vehicle Accident

Plaintiff, age forty-one (41) years of age at the time of this accident, was stopped due to traffic. Defendant suddenly and without warning struck the rear of Plaintiff’s vehicle. The impact was so severe that Plaintiff’s vehicle was pushed into the vehicle proceeding ahead of him. Defendant told the responding police officer that he attempted to stop his vehicle, but instead of stepping on the brake, he stepped on the gas pedal. Plaintiff’s vehicle sustained over $11, 000 worth of damage. Plaintiff was transported via ambulance to the emergency room and then underwent conservative care. After diagnostic testing, Plaintiff learned he suffered a tear in his right shoulder and herniations in his neck. His shoulder injuries required an extensive surgical repair, leaving significant scarring. The case settled for the policy limits of $100,000.
