$200,000 Settlement For A Slip and Fall Accident At A Restaurant

Plaintiff, was a thirty-eight (38) year old patron at a restaurant when she slipped and fell on a wet substance, approximately the size of a dish plate, causing her to land squarely on her right knee and sustain serious injury to her knee, requiring surgical intervention. Unfortunately, while recovering at her home, her knee gave way.  She underwent a post-surgical MRI of her right knee. The fall re-ruptured her ACL ruptured again and caused a quadriceps tear. She required an additional surgery. Defendants argued that Plaintiff was at fault for not making proper observations while walking and that her injury was a congenital defect. The case settled for a total amount of $ 200,000.00.
